NFL Week 11 Recap: Jaguars Beat Cardinals in OT Thriller | NFL Highlights (2025)

Get ready for an intense NFL showdown as the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Arizona Cardinals! A tale of two teams, one rising and the other struggling, will unfold on the gridiron.

In a thrilling overtime battle, Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars emerged victorious, overcoming a turnover-filled performance to defeat the Cardinals 27-24. Cam Little's 52-yard field goal in overtime sealed the deal, but it wasn't an easy journey.

Here's where it gets controversial... The Cardinals opted for a bold move, going for a fourth down instead of attempting a long field goal. Jacoby Brissett's pass fell short, and the Jaguars capitalized on the opportunity.

With a record of 7-4, the Jaguars are on a roll, winning three out of their last four games and improving their chances in the AFC playoff race. On the other hand, the Cardinals, with a record of 3-8, have hit a rough patch, losing eight of their last nine games.

The game was a rollercoaster of emotions. Late in the fourth quarter, Lawrence connected with Parker Washington for a touchdown, giving the Jaguars a 24-21 lead. However, a crucial mistake by Lawrence on a fourth-down pass gave the Cardinals a chance to tie the game. Brissett led a remarkable drive, finding Michael Wilson for a big gain, and Chad Ryland tied the game with a field goal, sending it into overtime.

Lawrence's performance was a mix of brilliance and errors. Despite completing 18 of 30 passes for 256 yards, he also had a fumble returned for a touchdown and threw multiple interceptions. But he showed resilience, leading the team to victory despite the mistakes.

Brissett, stepping in for the injured Kyler Murray, completed 33 of 49 passes for 317 yards and a touchdown. He's now 1-5 as Arizona's starter, facing a tough challenge.

The Cardinals had their chances. Wilson's 10 receptions for 118 yards kept the offense moving, and they took a 14-10 lead into halftime. However, a missed field goal by Ryland in the second quarter could have changed the game's trajectory.

And this is the part most people miss... The Cardinals' defense made a spectacular play when Walter Nolen III recovered a fumble by Lawrence and returned it for a touchdown. It was a highlight-reel moment, but the Jaguars' defense responded with six sacks, including 1 1/2 by Dennis Gardeck, who previously played for the Cardinals.

Injuries played a role too. For the Cardinals, Marvin Harrison Jr. missed his second straight game due to surgery, and Will Hernandez and Nolen didn't return after halftime. The Jaguars also had injuries, with Chuma Edoga and Danny Striggow leaving the game.

Next up, the Jaguars face the Tennessee Titans, while the Cardinals take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Will the Jaguars continue their winning streak, or will the Cardinals find their groove?
