How to get on the UVA mailing list? ›

Go to the list environment homepage and log on. Go to the information page of the list you want to subscribe to. In the left menu, click on the 'Subscribe' link.

If your subscribers like to hit Reply All, then typically their email software will send the reply back to the individual who sent the message as well as the list email address. Then, the listserve will send the message to all subscribers, including the original sender, who now has two copies of the reply.

There really is no typical number accepted off the waitlist; it has varied from none to more than 20 percent of the entering class.

Reporting Scores

Applicants who wish to have SAT, ACT, AP, or IB testing considered during the application process should opt to submit scores and self-report them on the application. After the deadline, applicants may submit updated scores through their portal.

Protect your skin with clothing that covers your arms and legs. Wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect your head, face, and neck. Wear sunglasses that block UV rays to protect your eyes and the skin around them. Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to help protect skin that isn't covered with clothing.

Incoming USPS mail from the Post Office arrives at the UVA Mail Services Mailroom at 7:50 am Monday through Friday, excluding USPS holidays. The mail is sorted and then delivered throughout the University according to daily scheduled times arranged by UVA Mail Services.

UVA requires two letters of recommendation, one from a teacher and one from the applicant's high school counselor. Applicants should request their letter of recommendation from a teacher who can speak to their academic ability.
