In Game Science’s Black Myth Wukong, you’ll face off against various bosses and elites, each offering cool rewards. One of these rewards is a Spirit form, which lets you temporarily transform into an enemy and use their special abilities or spells.

With so many bosses and minibosses filling up the game, finding all the Spirits you can absorb can seem overwhelming. Usually, you’ll get these Spirit forms from Yaoguai Chiefs, who drop a blue orb when defeated.

You’ll unlock the Spirit feature early in Chapter 1 of Black Myth Wukong. As you play, you might encounter an elite enemy called the Wandering Wight. After defeating it, a blue flame will drop, but you won’t be able to collect it right away.

To access this feature, keep progressing past the Guanyin Temple until you meet the Elder. He will upgrade your gourd, letting you interact with the blue flames left by defeated Yaoguai Chiefs. These creatures are essentially minibosses or elites and have a distinct bluish glow. Once you defeat them, they drop a blue flame that you can collect to use their abilities.
1. Father of Stones
This is found just past the Heart of Ember waypoint. This spirit allows you to release two powerful roars that damage enemies nearby. When equipped, it slightly increases your critical hit chance and critical hit damage.
2. Charface
You will find this inside the cave before battling the Gray-Bronze Cart. Charface’s activation effect lets you slam a lava-forged blade into the ground to create a magma burst. Equipping this spirit moderately boosts your charging speed as well.

3. Turtle Treasure
This is found in Furnace Valley – Valley Entrance. To find Turtle Treasure, cross the lava flow to the right from the valley entrance. This spirit lets you jump upward with your mallet to crush a target into the ground.

When equipped, it moderately increases damage dealt by heavy attacks that cost three or more focus points in Black Myth Wukong.
4. Flint Chief
In the cave system with lava flows, head to the leftmost corner of the non-elevated section. The Flint Chief spirit allows you to turn into a solid rock to deflect attacks. Its equipped effect slightly increases resistance to different banes.

5. Earth Rakshasa
From the Flint Chief’s location, follow the sloping path to the elevated area and take a left. This spirit lets you use a heavy shield to smash the ground and block attacks. When equipped, it moderately improves damage reduction for a short period after being hit.
6. Misty Cloud, Cloudy Mist
This is found at the top of the sloping path in the underground lava cavern. These spirits guard the exit. Misty Cloud lets you hit a target with incense, while Cloudy Mist unleashes three beams of light. When either is equipped, they moderately reduce the mana cost of the Cloud Step spell.
7. Nine-Capped Linzhi Guai
This is located at the back of the Ashen Pass III shrine, accessible after destroying a wall with a metal ball. Interact with a mushroom to reveal this spirit. It causes Lingzhi mushrooms to explode, dealing poison damage.

The equipped effect reduces the mana cost of Mysticism spells, making it rather useful in Black Myth Wukong.
8. Flint Vanguard
After Pingping uses her fan to remove the flame barrier, go to this new area and fefeat this spirit guarded. It allows you to smash enemies with stone fists that stack scorch bane and burn damage over time if the target is ignited. Equipping it moderately increases scorch damage and burn resistance.
9. Mother of Flamlings
Just past the rocky path with Flint Vanguard, interact with a glowing spot. This spirit can summon Flamlings that breathe fire on enemies. It also reduces spell cooldowns when equipped, making it well worth it.

10. Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top
This is found near the end of the level, after a cutscene with Pingping and Zhu Bajie. Fast travel back to the Emerald Hall and take the path left of the throne. The spiked ball from the cutscene will have crashed here.

Obtain the spirit form, which combines into an iron ball that bounces and slams down thrice. It significantly increases defense but moderately reduces attack, making it a tough pick in Black Myth Wukong.
11. Bull Governor
This is found in the secret area of Chapter 5 named Bishui Cave. The Bull Governor spirit allows you to charge and hit enemies with a halberd, dealing scorch damage. It also moderately increases scorch damage when equipped, making it ideal for a fire build.
