Motorists are facing long delays and queues on the A50 and A500 this morning, following a collision on the A50 eastbound carriageway between Sideway and the Fenton turning. The smash has caused significant disruption, with a long queue forming on the A500, stretching back past Longport, according to live maps from Google.
The impact of the collision is being felt across the region, with D-road traffic slow from the Wolstanton turning, and issues reported on the westbound A50 around the Normacot area. Travel time on the westbound from Meir to Sideway is estimated to be around 20 minutes, according to Inrix, the traffic monitoring system.
